HiFi Likes: November 2024

How is it that we’re already celebrating Thanksgiving? It’s so cliché to reference the passage of time, but I will never not be amazed by how quickly the days (and stitches) go by. I know it’s a busy week and season for so many. Even if you aren’t directly experiencing the hustle and bustle, the onslaught of advertisements, promotions, and new media add to the flurry of activity for everyone. I by no means want to add to the chaos, but I firmly believe in shopping around for the best price on an item. So, it seems a little silly to wait and share some of my favorite things until next week (after some of the biggest sales of the year). If you’re going to get it, you might as well get it on sale. I’m deviating and sharing my HiFi Likes a little early, and will be back with more needlepoint next week. In the meantime, I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving and hope the holiday weekend brings time to stitch or enjoy some of the fruits of your stitching.

What I’m Stitching & Finishing

I’m putting the final stitches into turning the Le Point Studio Christmas Village pieces from the last couple of years into standups. I’ve never had enough space to display them until now, and am looking forward to seeing the village come to life. Le Point usually runs a Black Friday sale and it’s a great chance to grab any village pieces that are in stock, as well as the acrylic display stands.

Since I love stitching in season, I’m also working on the Tumbling Pumpkins Round by Amelia.
