HiFi Prints: Stitch Planning
I started the HiFi Prints series as a way to provide stitchers with a way to create a needlepoint journal that works for their needs. While the printables are exclusive to paid subscribers, given the nature of this week’s printable, I’m making an exception. If you want to start building out your own journal, make sure you subscribe to get access to past (and future!) printables.
I use this printable for stitch planning often to make my stitching a little easier. Here’s a few ways I use it:
Creating my own stitches or stitch variations for current projects
Planning out a stitch and ensuring it will fit in a space on a canvas
Figuring out the compensation of a stitch in those hard to figure out places
Tracking what stitches I’ve learned by jotting down the diagrams and names (and referring back to it often for inspiration!)
Once viewed and downloaded, you can print as many as you need for your personal use. Or, if you want to be more sustainable as you play with stitches, try slipping this printable into a sheet protector and using a dry erase marker as you play.
While there are stitching logs on the market, these printables are intended for you to create a log in a way that meets your specific needs. This provides more flexibility than a bound stitching log with a limited number of pages.
All printables are formatted as a PDF in US letter size, perfectly sized to keep in a project bag or plastic folio as you stitch. Once you’ve completed the project, you can store the tracker in a binder or file elsewhere.
Final thought: I hope you will find this stitch planner to be helpful for all your stitching needs. As always, I’d love to hear what printables you’d like to see for tracking all things needlepoint.
