Navigating Needlepoint Threads

One of my favorite things about needlepoint is finding all sorts of fun threads to use on a canvas to add texture and depth. One of my least favorite things about needlepoint is figuring out how to use all of these threads. To make things a little easier, I’ve consolidated the master list of needlepoint threads I previously shared into one sheet and updated to reflect a few of the newest thread releases. I’ve also included columns to highlight material (silk, wool, etc.), coverage of the canvas, how to use, and what to use for (Turkey Work, hair, etc.). I hope the digital list I’m sharing below is something you can keep handy as a reference both when you are shopping for threads and while you are stitching.
