Part of what I love about needlepoint is the ability to create so much texture and dimension with different decorative stitches. When I first started needlepointing, I lost interest quickly because basketweave seemed like a chore to me (don’t worry, I’ve grown to like it and realize how much joy it brings others!). However, once I learned about decorative stitches, I fell in love with the craft and haven’t looked back. While the internet is a great place to look for decorative stitch ideas, I still love flipping through physical books for ideas. I shared some of the essential books for stitching in a previous post, but it was by no means representative of all of the books I use!
