Needlepoint Embellishment Tutorial: Woven Scarf
One thing I love about needlepoint is the ability to play with the design as painted on a canvas. Whether it’s changing up the colors or taking elements of design and bringing them to life with stitches, each needlepoint project can be truly unique. When I picked up the Snowman Snow Globe canvas by Coco Frank, I saw so many possibilities in the canvas. I started out thinking it would be fun to create a snowflake stitch pattern and add beads to the background, but this quickly spiraled into weaving a dimensional scarf for the snowman. What can I say, I was inspired. I’m sharing everything you need to create your own scarf on a needlepoint canvas in this post.
