Needlepoint Finishing Notes: Stitch Style Kite
One of the early pieces in Stitch Style’s line was a series of kites. I immediately fell in love with the design and knew I had to stitch one for my Easter/Spring needlepoint tree. While the stitching came easy, I sat on the finish for years until I finally had a moment to execute the finish I had envisioned. I am so glad that you all loved this finish as much as I did and I’m excited to share a little bit more about how I made it.
Note: I didn’t expect the overwhelming response to this finish, so I did not properly photograph the steps as I created the ornament. However, since there were so many questions, I wanted to share step by step how I created this, including the supplies used, so self finishers could recreate on their own. Where possible, I’ve tried to include photos and diagrams that could be helpful in the finishing process.
