If you’ve ever spilled a container of seed beads or spent 10 minutes hunting for the right embellishment, you know how important efficient storage is. As your collection of beads, sequins, ribbons, and other needlepoint embellishments grows, so does the need for a system that keeps everything visible, sorted, and secure. My storage system for these items has changed over time, but I’ve finally found what works for me, for now. In hopes of making organization a little easier for you, I’m sharing a little more about how I’m keeping beads, ribbons, embellishments, and thread on spools (like Krenik) organized.
Utilizing Space
As I did with my threads, I was thoughtful about the space I had for storage. Once I found the space, and before I invested in containers, I thought about two things:
Size - How big the space is compared to what is being organized, and making a point to leave room to grow.
Access - I wanted to make sure I could easily access these items as I kitted and planned projects.
