Whether you’re looking to add interest to the background of a needlepoint canvas or you’re wanting to make a canvas more personal, a custom plaid is a great option. In my last post, I shared more about how custom plaids are used and ways to vary the plaid. I also offered ideas on sequences of numbers to use to create a plaid. Next up, I’m going to walk you through the process of translating this sequence into the final plaid design. While the final result is impressive, the act of creating the plaid is simple (or at least I hope to make it simple with these instructions). Due to space restrictions, I’m sharing the instructions for this process into two posts, with part two of this process coming later this week.
