One Year of HiFi Makes: A Celebration & A New Subscriber Benefit
Wow - I can’t believe it but we’re celebrating a full year of HiFi Makes. I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who’s come along on this creative journey with me. Whether you’ve been here since the first post or just discovered this Substack, thank you for reading, stitching, sharing, and supporting this growing community of needlepoint lovers. Over the past 12 months, we’ve explored a range of topics from favorite stitches to needlepoint organization hacks, thread lists, and even tutorials. Every post has been crafted with joy, curiosity, and a deep love for needlepoint.

A Look Forward at A New Subscriber Benefit
As a thank-you and a new way to connect more personally, I’m launching a monthly live Zoom call for paid subscribers! These sessions, working title HiFi Chats, will last approximately 90 mins and contain two parts - 1) featured projects and 2) open stitch.
Featured Projects
During the first part of the Zooms, we will look at two canvases and offer guidance based on questions of the stitcher. I’ll ask for two subscribers to sign up to share a project in advance of the call, and spend time offering ideas for stitches to use, threads to use, ideas for finishing, etc. Any questions they have about a canvas, I’m here to help! This portion of the Zoom will be open for everyone, just in case you might have a similar question or have the same canvas in your stash! I know I often get inspired by others!
Open Stitch
For the second part of the Zooms, I want to have time for community building. Bring a project and socialize with others in the community. This is a casual time where we can get to know each other better and learn from each other!
Wherever you may be in your needlepoint journey, these calls are a supportive, low-pressure space for learning and connection.
